Bellingrath Gardens was established by one of the founders of the Coca-Cola company. It is located in Theodore, Alabama along the shores of Fowl River that flows into Mobile Bay. The home was originally a weekend retreat for Bellingrath and his family. After the Great Depression, the home and grounds were opened to the public. It is still a popular South Alabama tourist attraction. Normally the gardens are open from dusk til dawn year round,

 but at the Christmas season now, they extend their hours so that visitors from all over can come and admire their beautiful Christmas light displays. Bellingrath Gardens Christmas lights are worth seeing and every year more lights are added to the display.At Bellingrath Gardens, you will find the magic of Christmas lights where you will find more than 950 performances through the 65-acre estate. Bellingrath Gardens Christmas light displays will make your Christmas more meaningful with family and friends. You and your family will find Santa and many prizes at Bellingrath gift shop. Make sure you enjoy it with friends and family if you are near Mobile during the Christmas holidays. They are closed on Christmas day.
